Apply to be a part of the 2025 Go Red for Women Class of Survivors!
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the No. 1 killer of women and affects nearly half of women ages 20 and older, yet too many women remain unaware of their greatest health threat.
But we’re not backing down. Because women have something better, stronger, and more powerful – we have each other. When we come together and Go Red, the more powerful we are against cardiovascular disease.
The American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Class of Survivors is a diverse sisterhood that shares powerful stories to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke and inspire other women to take action to improve their physical health and mental well-being.
Typically, the surprising faces of cardiovascular disease, these everyday women, just like you, are national volunteers representing a wide variety of ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds whose stories reflect the unique life stages that women experience that can affect their risk for CVD.
Starting in February 2025, when the class is launched publicly, these dynamic women will serve as ambassadors for Go Red for Women, appearing in media, marketing collateral, awareness campaigns, on the web, and at events, both locally and nationally.
From October 2024 to January 2026, members will participate in:
- Video and photo shoot for marketing, editorial and promotional content
- Monthly calls with AHA national staff and the 2025 Class of Survivors
- Opportunities to contribute content to Go Red for Women and American Heart Association national websites and social media platforms
- Potential opportunities to participate in local and national media and events
- Other exciting activities not listed above throughout the term
